BNP announces candidate in Illsley successor race

A female community worker has been selected as the BNP candidate in the by-election to replace Eric Illsley.

Enis Dalton was announced as the candidate in a party meeting at Farm Road WMC in Kendray, attended by leader Nick Griffin.

There had been speculation that he would be the candidate, compounded when the party's press spokesman refused to deny it last week.

Anti-BNP Protesters gathered outside the meeting.
