SAFETY measures are being called for after a teenager died in Manvers Lake when he attempted to reach an island in the middle of the water. The boy was with two other friends swimming from a peninsula at the side of the lake to an island when he got into difficulty on Wednesday. He is the third person to die in the lake in five years.
