One wheel appeal for Aaron, 14

A TEENAGER is 'wheelie' determined to break a world record this weekend.

Aaron Stannage, 14, will attempt to cycle eight miles on one wheel to seal his place in the Guinness Book of Records.

The Hemsworth High pupil hopes to keep the wheelie going for an hour when he performs stunts indoors at the John Charles Stadium in Leeds.

Dad and fellow stuntman Mark, 39, of Tun Lane, South Hiendley, said Aaron was confident he would succeed.

"He's very confident, rehearsals have gone really well," he said.

"He's been training hard for it three days a week. Every spare minute he has had he's put into it."

A school teacher, a stunt co-ordinator and police officer will adjudicate his attempt at midday on Sunday.

"There's lots of folk going to cheer him on it should be a good day," he said.
