A 'WONDERFULLY large' teapot is just one item on display at a special exhibition of antiques belonging to the late Gerald Margison at Darfield Museum.
Gerald, who died in September, was raised in Darfield but moved to Lytham, Lancashire, to become an electrical engineer.
He often returned to the village to visit family and was a frequent visitor to the museum which is in its tenth year.
Chairman Geoff Hutchinson said: "Gerald always spent time in the museum and often told members of new items he had bought or would offer advice from his extensive knowledge.
"He was frequently at antique fairs and had been known to tell dealers when they were not charging sufficient!"
Other items bequeathed are small items of furniture and delftware - blue and white pottery made in and around Delft in the Netherlands between the 16th and 18th century.
Geoff said: "Graham had always said there would be something for the museum when he died, but this bequest was quite unexpected.
