BARNSLEY TV presenter and pop star Sam Nixon will be taking part in a celebrity version of the madcap BBC game show Total Wipe-out.
Presented by Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond, the pre-recorded show took Sam to Argentina to compete on the 'ridiculous' obstacle course built for the show.
Sam, 23, originally from Monk Bretton, said: "I've watched the show before and it looks easy. I don't know of anybody who's watched it and not thought 'I could do that' but it's really difficult. It's mental. Really mental."
The show will be broadcast on BBC1 on January 2. He is not allowed to say who wins the contest, but if he does win, he will donate his £10,000 prize to Barnsley Hospice.
