SUMMER'S beaming smile warmed up winter and won her the title of Barnsley Baby of the Year Competition.

Summer Jo Stott, of Greenside, Staincross, impressed judges with her blue eyes and cheery face when they picked the winner of the bonny baby contest.

Mum Laura, 26, said Summer's sisters had been rushing for the Chronicle each Friday.

"Olivia and Chelsea have been waiting for the Chronicle every week to see if she's got through," she said. They'll be chuffed to bits when I tell them. I entered them when they were babies but this is the first time we have won."
