A TEACHER has won a lifetime achievement award for making a 'life changing difference' to under fives.

Susan Carr (Wombwell Park Street) has seen several generations of the same families come through the school in the 31 years she has been there.

She leads the early years unit and outside the classroom runs an infants' choir, cookery club and organises family learning workshops.

She was nominated for the award (north of England region) by her son and received the accolade at a special ceremony at the Cutlers Hall in Sheffield on Friday.
