KINGSTONE School pupil Roxanne Shaw, 12, is to swim a mile to raise money for the Barnsley Domestic Abuse Refuge Support Group at the Metrodome on June 25.

So far, she has raised more than £500, said her mum Anneliese who is a trustee of the organisation.

Roxanne, of Highstone Vale, Worsbrough Common, learned to swim about five years ago.
