A narky Parky threatens to sue his relative over family pamphlet

SIR Michael Parkinson is threatening legal action over a home-made 19-page pamphlet that challenges claims made in his autobiography'.

The booklet, 'A Generation of My Family' has been written by his cousin, Malcolm Tonge, 58, of Birkwood Avenue, Cudworth. He printed 18 copies for the family.

In it he corrects ages and the numbers of children belonging to members of the Parkinson family and questions the claim, in Sir Michael's book, that an aunt made a crude remark.

But the amateur publication has not gone down well with the retired chat-show host, 73. He is furious and has threatened to sue Malcolm for describing his father as 'bombastic, ignorant, arrogant, interfering, grumpy, selfish and money grabbing'.

When contacted by the Chronicle Sir Michael said he would sue the paper if the story was published.
