Catch a cold, then bin it and kill it

NHS Barnsley is supporting a new health campaign 'catch it, bin it, kill it' to help prevent the spread of germs.

The idea is to reduce the spread of cold, flu and other viruses with a good hygiene message.

People are urged to carry tissues, dispose of them quickly and then wash their hands to prevent the spread of germs.

NHS professions director Margaret Kitching said everyone could play their part. "Through practising good hygiene measures and educating family members ever

yone can play their part. "For some people the effects of these types of viruses won't be as apparent as in others more vulnerable, where the effects can be much more serious."
