Appeal to help sick toddler hits over £1k

AN APPEAL to help a Dearne toddler with a rare condition has raised over £1,000 — thanks to kind-hearted Barnsley folk.

Little Lily-Mae Skidmore is thought to be one of 50 people world-wide suffering a syndrome which leads to weak muscles and problems with walking, severe learning difficulties, visual impairment, breathing difficulties, a low immune system and different facial features.

Her parents Vikky and James need an extension to their home so they can store the equipment they need to provide Lily-Mae with physiotherapy but it would cost thousands.

People whom the family of Billingley View, Bolton, have never met have donated funds to the appeal and agreed to hold fundraising events since hearing of the plight.
