STRATA BRASS continued a run of good form when it won the Bolsover entertainment contest at the weekend.
The band was competing against four higher section bands but still took the honours. Secretary Paul Wilkinson said everyone was delighted with the performance.
He said: "We're even happier - this win follows the one at Wychavon and the news that our musical director David Hirst has committed himself to the band for a further term."
The band will be giving its annual remembrance concert on November 7 at Milton Hall.
