A MAN suffered several injuries after he plunged from a motorway bridge on to the hard shoulder.

The 51-year-old was spotted by a police officer on the wrong side of the bridge at junction 37, Dodworth, at about 11pm on Tuesday, September 30.

He then appeared to fall from the bridge. He was taken to Barnsley Hospital and is now recovering at home.

Officers want to hear from anyone who saw him, dressed in dark clothes, near the motorway junction on that evening. Contact: 736030.
