A WOMAN whose house was crashed into twice in six months will only pay half her council tax if nothing is done to help her.
Angela Nayar, 60, is currently only using half of her house, on Ings Road, Wombwell because she doesn't feel safe using the side nearest to the road.
Despite contacting the council several times asking for a barrier on the road, she feels nothing has been done to put her mind at rest.
Mrs Nayar said: "I have written numerous letters to the council regarding my situation and still nothing has been done.
"If I don't get sufficient help I will write to the treasury and tell them that I will only pay half of my council tax for the half of the house that I live in."
A spokesman for Barnsley Council said: "We have responded to Mrs Nayar’s letters three times. Traffic officers have also spoken to her.
"The council has explained the current situation, highlighting the road safety improvements it can undertake.
"Some works have been done already and further road signage is proposed to be erected shortly."
