Alan sings his heart out in X Factor Bootcamp

CONTROVERSIAL X-Factor hopeful Alan Turner is determined to prove his critics wrong when he appears on in the show's bootcamp this weekend.

The 23-year-old caused a storm following his TV audition when he told the judges he was fostered and wanted to get to know his real family - a claim his parents strongly denied.

But now Alan, of Burton Bank Road, Monk Bretton, wants the spotlight to shine on his singing ability as he competes to be in the final 24. "I just can't wait to watch it tomorrow with my friends," he said.

"It was really nerve-racking as we had to sing in front of everybody this time, not just the four judges.

"It went well but I'm not going to give anything away. People will have to wait and see what happens tomorrow."
