THREE people were taken to hospital after the car they were travelling in flipped over three times as it joined the motorway.

The Vauxhall Corsa was travelling down the junction 37 slip road to join the southbound carriageway when it swerved to avoid another car causing it to overturn.

Two fire crews from Barnsley were called to the incident at about midnight on Sunday but the occupants had got out themselves and suffered minor injuries.
