Double PCT probe after train death

A DOUBLE investigation is underway at Kendray Hospital after another patient under psychiatric care apparently committed suicide.

Dale Rodgers died on Wednesday after being struck by a train near Measborough Dike.

The collision happened just hours after police confirmed suicidal Michael Wells, who stepped in front of a lorry two weeks ago, had died in Barnsley Hospital from his injuries.

The circumstances surrounding both deaths are being investigated by Barnsley PCT which runs Kendray Hospital.

A PCT spokesman said: "Investigations into the two incidents are currently underway, until they have been fully investigated the PCT cannot comment further."
