Pubs take liberty to celebrate July 4

PUBS in town will be 'Yanking it up' tonight to mark American Independence Day.

A few pubs will be trimmed with American flags and bunting, and some staff are dressing up. A new 'American' beer from Barnsley Bitter brewer Acorn will be unveiled today. Liberty, a five-per cent alcohol IPA will be served at the Gatehouse next to the transport interchange.

Durty O'Dwers is swapping its usual Irish music for Elvis and Frank Sinatra.
