
BARNSLEY-born businessman Paul Sykes has been ranked 146th in this year's Times Rich List.
Sykes, who was born in Cudworth and started his business career dismantling old buses, is listed as having a £550m fortune.
His wealth is reported to have grown from the £520m listed last year, although he has slipped three places.
The 64-year-old made the bulk of his money when he sold his share of the Meadowhall shopping centre.
Barnsley FC benefactor Patrick Cryne, who appeared when he sold his shares in hospital IT developer iSoft, has dropped out of this year's list.
