Denham quits Leeds to play for Reds

A LEEDS United trainee dropped the club in a flash when his beloved Barnsley FC swooped for his signature.

Denham Saxton was snapped up by the Reds when he impressed during a community football coaching session at school.

The Greenfield Primary pupil sailed through a trial at Oakwell and had no hesitation in signing a 12 month contract.

The ten-year-old, from Hillside Drive, Hoyland said he hoped to play in the Premier League one day. He said: "I was so excited when I heard they wanted me and it made my family really proud. "I hope I can go all the way and become a professional with the club."
