THREE musical Barnsley fans have come up with an unofficial FA Cup song supporting the football club as it prepares for Wembley.
'Come on U Reds' is the work of Junction37, or musicians Martin Roberts, Jean-Claude 'JC' Toller and Ronnie Steele, who was once an Oakwell apprentice.
JC is originally from Belgium but Barnsley is his adopted home and he came up with the lyrics, sung by Ronnie in his broad Barnsley accent.
Martin owns a studio and recorded the track and played backing instruments. He said: "I play blues with JC and Ronnie is an old friend who has a decent singing voice and can convey an authentic Barnsley accent.
"We have had great fun doing it but it has been a real rush, we've been busy in the studio getting it finished."
Ronnie said: “As a lifelong Barnsley supporter it’s been great to help create Come on U Reds and take the lead vocal.”
