Queues are expected near the Alhambra Roundabout as gas mains are replaced throughout August.
Disruption will start on Wednesday, August 8, and work is expected to continue until Thursday, August 30.
A council spokesman said lanes will be closed and delays are possible and apologised for any inconvenience.
