Am I the only one to think the £25m to be spent on Wentworth conservatory a waste of money?
Half the metal and all the glass will not be the original, and will need regular painting etc. If there must be a conservatory (they have managed for 20 years without) why not use modern materials that are low maintenance and energy efficient?
The National Trust is always spending fortunes trying to replace the original when modern materials would be better.
The world faces massive disruption and they waste money like this.
