Former England cricketer Darren Gough will be one of an expected 4,000 Barnsley fans backing the Reds at Stadium MK.
Gough has his own box at the ground and will interview Dons manager Carl Robinson prior to the game for Talksport.Gough, who was born in Monk Bretton and lives in Milton Keynes, is confident the Reds can progress into the quarter-finals.
He told the Chronicle: “A month ago I’d have backed MK Dons. They were flying in the league and Barnsley seemed destined for relegation.“But Barnsley are on a great run at the minute since the new manager came in.
“MK Dons are leaking goals and don’t have an out and out striker, and that’s one thing Barnsley certainly don’t lack.
“My two lads get to watch MK Dons quite a bit and so do I when I’m not watching other games for Talksport. I’d love to watch Barnsley more but, with my work and family commitments, I just don’t have the time.”
